Germany - Major has developed the Source Four as CDM version, in cooperation with ETC. Major's Source Four PAR CDM combines the compact dimensions, versatility and performance of the Source Four PAR with the well-known discharge lamp technology. The result, say the company, is a spotlight with an extremely high lifetime (more than 9,000 hours), but a low energy consumption and a solid colour temperature (3,000 or 4,200°K). The fixture will be mainly used in retail, exhibition and conference environments. An MCM (metal cold mirror) version boasts heat emission to the back of the fixture of approximately 90%, making the fixture suitable also for more sensitive environments such as art exhibitions, etc. With interchangeable front lenses and different colour filters, the possibilities for use are almost endless, say Major.
