David Drane has over 23 years of experience in the professional sound, lighting and AV industry

UK - Highlite International has announced an operational restructure and relocation of its customer support and services within the UK.

Highlite's UK operations have recently relocated to new facilities in Colchester, Essex. The move sees the expansion of the regional offices, service department and UK stockholding, as well as the welcoming of a newly-appointed sales director, David Drane, and an increase in support resources and technician team members.

The new facilities and operational changes provide Highlite with a long-term strategic move for accelerated growth and enhanced value for its customers. Allowing for a larger UK stockholding of new and popular product lines from Highlite's long-established core brands: Showtec, Infinity, DMT, DAP, Artecta, Showgear and Wentex. The space will also house a purpose-built repair and service centre.

Heading up the operation is David Drane, who has over 23 years of experience in the professional sound, lighting and AV industry and is no stranger to Highlite and its brands. Between 2006 and 2017, Drane was a regional sales agent for Highlite in the UK and has remained in the rental and installation sector ever since.

Commenting on his recent move and appointment, Drane says: “I am thrilled to be back supporting Highlite and look forward to a natural progression of new challenges and responsibilities. A large part of my day-to-day role will be supporting the account agents and customers with the things they expect, with advice, quotations, sales and importantly, after sales support. The relocation will allow us to build on the available resources and increase the UK stock for a demanding market.

“Over the next few months of integration, I look forward to reconnecting with industry colleagues and customers, old and new.”

In 2024, Highlite International celebrates the impressive milestone of 30 years in business, including over 20 years trading in the UK & Ireland.
