Germany - DirectOut has extended its coverage at Studio Berlin. Two Prodigy.MP, one Prodigy.MX and three Andiamo have been installed by the studio to provide conversion and redundancy solutions for its new control room upgrades in Hamburg. Studio Berlin had previously utilised an outside broadcast truck, but with an increasingly busy schedule and less opportunity for the control room to move, the decision was taken to replace the truck and create two new, permanently installed facilities.

The upgrades provide robust and reliable network conversions between the main Ravenna network and other audio network protocols. Three Andiamo units convert analogue signals to digital and vice-versa, while the Prodigy.MP enables all other conversions. The Prodigy.MX manages the audio matrix, including radio microphones and in-ear monitors.

UAE - The McGettigan's Irish Pub franchise continues to expand across Dubai, but their latest bar and restaurant - situated in the Four Points by Sheraton Production City - is the first to be located within a Marriott-owned hotel property.

Set within this growing production hub it will serve the community of media-based businesses who are resident there. South Africa - Lenroc Entertainment recently installed a complete audio solution at Woodlands International College in Boksburg, equipping their large school hall with premium sound tailored for their production needs. The system featured equipment from FBT and JTS Professional, supplied by distributor, StageOne.

After an initial site visit, Lenroc Entertainment’s Cornel Potgieter quickly identified that the venue required a robust sound system. "The large hall needed a solution with exceptional clarity and substantial headroom," Potgieter explained. "Audio levels also needed to be limited so that the system wouldn't run at full capacity or anywhere near its peak."

After evaluating several brands, Potgieter chose FBT. “The directionality was superb, and the midrange clarity was incredible - something not easy to find in other systems,” said Pot

USA - Pennsylvania's St Luke Greek Orthodox Church is renowned for its Byzantine architecture and elaborate iconography. The church serves as a spiritual and cultural hub for its congregation, offering a space where the community gathers for worship, celebration, and reflection. With its high-domed ceilings, expansive nave, and traditional Orthodox design, the sanctuary is visually stunning but posed significant acoustical challenges.

Poor speech intelligibility had become a growing concern, making it difficult for worshippers to fully engage with Fr. Christ. With a reverberation peak of 3.38 seconds, congregation members struggled to hear the spoken word clearly, leading to increased complaints. Seeking a solution that would preserve the church’s aesthetic and elevate the auditory experience, the team at Spinnaker, the project integrator, led by VP of p

USA - The 67th annual Grammy Awards, honouring the best recordings, compositions, and artists of the year, returned recently to its traditional home: the Crypto.com Arena (formerly Staples Centre) in Los Angeles.

It also returned to its long-term show lighting designer, Full Flood, whose founder, Bob Dickinson, has been designing the Grammys since 1994, bringing in Noah Mitz as co-designer in 2017. In 2021 the latter took over design responsibilities entirely.

GLP’s product portfolio has also built up a reputation at the event over a long period – and 2025 continued that evolution. Adapting a rig that was originally devised in 2023, Mitz deployed quantities of JDC Line 500 and 1000, impression X5 Compact and impression X4 S. “We continually adjust and revise the lighting design each year even when the set doesn’t change,” he explains.

Germany - Audiences across the country are posting positive reviews for Till Reiners’ latest stand-up show Mein Italien Grandissimo.

“For the main PA we used six STM M46 Main and 12 x STM M28 Omni line array boxes maximum, plus up to nine Nexo Geo M10s per side as out-fills” reports Sound Linear event technology specialist Philipp ‘Flip’ Bock. “A total of 12 x STM S118 subs were absolutely sufficient even for the larger arenas and we used up to 12 of Nexo’s compact ID24s on the edge of the stage and a Nexo P12 in each corner as near fills

Spain - A football final is always a moment of high emotion – but when light joins the game, the experience becomes unforgettable. That’s exactly what happened at the 2025 Copa del Rey Final, where more than 60,000 fans at the Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville and 8m viewers around the world were treated to a jaw-dropping lighting show that set the tone for a night to remember.

The creative force behind this spectacle was Juanjo Llorens, one of Spain’s most respected lighting designers, whose recent book on lighting as an evolving craft sparked wide acclaim. His approach to the opening show was clear: use light not just as illumination, but as narrative. And to achieve that, he relied on a powerful combination of 60 Ayrton Cobra and 50 Ayrton Perseo Beam fixtures.

Llorens’ design concept was rooted in movement, emotion and impact, as it built

USA - On Sunday 13 April, Chase & Status brought their musical kingdom to California, transforming Coachella’s massive Sahara Stage into a giant dance club with their signature sound and guest appearances by stars like Stormzy. Enhancing the vibe and energizing the entire stage was a production designed by High Scream, with management by NTRP, programming by Olly Walker, and onsite lighting by Elliott Mountford of Ti²² Design.

The lighting element of this dynamic stage panorama drew on the intense output of 172 Chauvet Professional fixtures. Of these units, 104 were Color Strike M motorised strobe washes, part of the Sahara’s house rig, supplied by Volt. The remaining fixtures, part of the Colour Sound Experiment supplied floor package, featured 48 Color Strike M and 20 Maverick Storm 4 Profile fixtures. The impressive collection of Color Strike M

Australia - Clearlight Shows, a long-standing name in Australia’s entertainment lighting industry, has delivered a major lighting upgrade at the Marriner Theatre Plaza Ballroom. The installation combines Infinity and Showtec fixtures from Highlite International to provide a robust, modern rig optimised for live performance, broadcast, and high-end event lighting.

The Plaza Ballroom, part of the Marriner Group, is a richly decorated venue with no natural light – making colour accuracy and flicker-free performance essential. Having worked closely with the theatre group on many occasions, Clearlight was invited to propose a system based on Highlite products, which the venue had successfully hired in the past.

John McKissock, founder of Clearlight Shows, explained: “The venue team had been trialling LED replacements for some time. When they saw the
