USA - The new Elation ELED Tri Par 56 is a 42W fixture that features 14 x 3W RGB LEDs (an equal number of green, red and blue). Each of the 3W LEDs is actually a 3-in-1 lamp, comprised of three different-coloured LEDs.

"Everything about the ELED Tri Par 56 is advanced, except its price," said Eric Loader, director of sales for Elation Professional. "This technology is a vast improvement over single-colour LED RGB fixtures."

The ELED Tri Par 56 works on seven DMX channels, and six DMX work modes. It uses USITT DMX 512 16-bit resolution, and it has a multi voltage power supply of 100 to 240 volts, 50/60Hz. The rugged durability of the ELED Tri Par 56 make it suitable for the touring and rental markets, says the company.

Spain - Around 500 pro audio and broadcast professionals assembled at the IFEMA trade show in Madrid for the eighth annual Producción Audio and Producción Professional awards ceremony. These awards, hosted by regional trade magazine publisher, Editorial Bolina, gave recognition to some of the most noted technological and personal endeavours to benefit the AV market in Spain over the past year.

Among the 23 category winners was the Lake LM 26 Digital Audio Loudspeaker Processor, winning the award for Best PA Product for Touring against some stiff opposition.

On hand to receive the award was Juan Fernández of Pro3 - Lab.gruppen and Lake's exclusive distributor in Spain - presented to him by Alfonso Gonzalez, president of Keido Music.

USA - Denon DJ recently launched the new DN-MC6000 Mixer and MIDI Controller with a special event at SKY Ultra Lounge in Oak Brook, Illinois. The launch, held on 1 December, was open to the public and attendees included DJs, leading music industry journalists and personnel from Denon DJ.

The evening featured live performances by Chicagoland-based B96-FM's DJ Flipside and Public Enemy's DJ Johnny Juice, both using the DN-S3700 featuring Hybrid Mode, in addition to live musicians performing music from the Halo video game franchise. Throughout the night, attendees were encouraged to take a test-drive of the DN-MC6000.

Users can amend existing fixtures or start building their own fixtures from scratch. Sigma chose the AWS 948 because it has more inputs than the classic 900, giving the studio more SuperAnalogue sound quality and an improved summing platform, says the company. Italy - RCF has added a large format model to its NX stage monitor series - the NX 15-SMA is shipping now.

The NX 15-SMA is equipped with a new high power digital amplifier and a newly designed coaxial neodymium transducer that "guarantee outstanding audio quality and definition as well as an extremely lightweight of the final system". It can be used as a portable PA system, thanks to the powder coated steel pole mount installed on the side.

In order to control the response of the speakers in such different applications, RCF has incorporated two special equalisation modes - Floor, for stage monitoring and Free Field, for the use of the speakers as a stand-alone PA system.

Italy - The SW Series is a range of sub-woofers designed by Proel to complement full-range speakers, including the NET and FLASH Series.

The SW Series includes two new models and an update to the existing FLASH15S, which has been renovated and renamed.

All the SW models feature large voice coil (VC) woofers and a band-pass design, providing "very punchy and dynamic lows together with an extended low frequency response". The class H and class D amplifier modules can generate up to 1000W of continuous power in a compact package.

Italy / USA - At NAMM 2011, FaitalPRO will show the latest additions to its FE Series - the 6FE200, 8FE200 and 10FE200 loudspeakers which complete the FE family, which makes use of ferrite magnets and pressed steel baskets.

These are medium-low power loudspeakers "with absolutely respectable performance, but are above all dedicated to a budget conscious market" which demands a slightly "more competitive" price; with nominal power ranging between 130 and 150 W, 37mm (1.45 in.) voice coils and efficiency between 95 and 96 dB.

Italy - RCF reports that there are now 5,000 units of the TTL33 line array in use worldwide. Since its introduction, the TTL33 has been used in lots of applications from local live events to touring and fixed installations.
