UK - Overlooking the Tetris skyline of London, SushiSamba is an opulent rooftop restaurant and bar that takes diners on a culinary journey. Located on the top three floors of the Heron Tower – the second tallest building in the capital’s financial district – SushiSamba offers panoramic views of London through floor-to-ceiling windows. China - Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Theatre, formerly known as the Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Troupe, was established in 1953. The building is located in Yuexiu district, Guangzhou city and has a total floor area of about 40,000sq.m, including a 1,200-seat Grand Theatre, a 500-seat theatre and three 60-seat cinemas.

DiGiCo has played a part in the co-creation of two new theatres for the space, Hung Sin-nui Theatre and Red Bean Hall. An SD5 is installed in the Hung Sin-nui Theatre and a Quantum 338 in the smaller Red Bean Hall.

Cantonese Opera is one of the traditional Chinese opera genres, with a history spanning more than 300 years. The building of these two brand-new facilities will form a cultural centre for the world of Cantonese Opera and ensure a solid base for its revitalisation.

UK - Established in 2011, London brewery Signature Brew’s stated mission is to “unite people through the power of fresh beer, great music and unforgettable experiences”. The company has created beers with artists including Mogwai, IDLES, Mastodon and Enter Shikari over the years and also operates music venues within its Blackhorse Road, Walthamstow and Haggerston, Hackney locations.

The Blackhorse Road venue recently received a significant audio upgrade (supplied by Hertfordshire-based AV specialists Patchwork London) with an Allen & Heath SQ6 compact digital mixer at the heart of the new system. USA - Trilogy Studios in Fort Worth, the largest cinematic volume in Texas, is a 30,000sq.ft facility with three advanced stages: a main stage, a car-processing stage for automotive shoots and a commercial stage.

Belgium - The Royal Conservatory of Antwerp has upgraded its lighting infrastructure with a Unity solution from LSC Control Systems, drawing on the experience of its partner facility – and one of Europe’s leading performing arts venues – De Singel.

Undertaking a full renovation of its Zwarte Zaal (Black Hall) – including new grid, cabling, patch racks, audio, data, video and lighting – led by main construction contractor Co-Ps, the Royal Conservatory insisted on quality, reliability and safety. UK - Part of the Merlin family who operate predominantly in the South-West, the 500-capacity Regal Theatre in Redruth occupies a 1930s art deco building, doubling between cinema and live events.

Local contractors, TruCru, were brought in recently to overhaul the theatre PA, replacing an archaic system with a Martin Audio FlexPoint solution. As a community facility, the new PA needed to demonstrate the versatility to cater for a wide variety of shows – ranging from am dram, touring tribute acts, operatic societies and nationally recognised stand-up comedians, with a high SPL. France - Val Thorens' renowned nightclub, Malaysia, has undergone a €2.5m transformation to become Malaysia 2.0, all thanks to a video installation overhaul featuring Smode’s real-time compositing and media server platform.

Perched at an altitude of 2,310m, The Malaysia club, established by Jean-Pierre Roux in 1985, is open seven days a week for the entire winter season. Dubbed the biggest dance floor in the Alps, it attracts around 700,000 people per season, hosting over 2,000 partygoers every night for live concerts and DJ sets. The half-timbered and red-brick structure was opened by Prime Minister William Gladstone in 1891 and saw a proscenium stage added in the 1920s. USA - At The Caverns, part of an 8,000ft underground cave passage located a little over 80 miles south of Nashville, designers like Justin Casey have to contend with a lack of level surfaces.

"Nothing there is level," Casey, owner of Helm Projects said of the venue. "That's the first challenge. We have done so many shows at this place, so we know it takes some time and thought to come up with a design that's right for it – but once you do, it's well worth it."

Canada - The University of Toronto’s Convocation Hall is a historic venue with a circular design. Imagined by prominent architects Darling and Pearson and completed in 1907, it has become a university landmark, hosting the annual convocation ceremonies and serving as the primary venue for academic and social functions due to its seating capacity of over 1,700.

Plagued by challenging acoustics, the hall’s reflective surfaces introduced significant complications, particularly for speech intelligibility. The previous sound system in Convocation Hall, an aging column array, was no longer effective – lacking the clarity needed for speech reinforcement in such a large, reverberant space. USA - Optic8 and Trilogy Studios have opened a virtual production facility in Dallas, Texas, powered by Brompton Technology’s Tessera SX40 LED processors and Absen’s high-performance LED screens.

This facility comprises three advanced production stages: a main cinematic volume designed for film and TV, a specialised car process stage, and a smaller stage tailored for commercials and music videos.

USA - Rolling Hills Covenant Church (RHCC) in California was founded in 1957 and dedicated its first church building in 1959. Following the sustained growth of its congregation during the 1960s and ‘70s, the Church constructed a larger worship centre which is now the main focus of its Rolling Hills Estates campus.

During the 1980s, RHCC expanded its emphasis on the arts as part of Christian worship, with a strong focus on the role of musical excellence in services. USA - The Dub Stage in Burbank, CA recently relocated and took the opportunity to fully outfit the facility with a Meyer Sound loudspeaker system. Marti D. Humphrey, CEO and chief re-recording mixer, invited various mixers and producers to The Dub Stage to audition the system. Brazil - Laroc Guarujá, the newest addition to the Laroc Club brand, has quickly earned its place among the leading venues for electronic music. The club’s Valinhos unit was ranked the 10th best club globally in 2024 by DJ Mag.
