Italy - Claypaky has launched its new image - a brand new logo and new way of writing the company's name (Claypaky rather than Clay Paky). The first public event Claypaky will attend with its new identity will be LDI in Las Vegas from 21 to 23 October.

"The need for modernity sometimes requires a break with tradition," says CEO Pio Nahum. "This does not mean betraying the ideals with which the company was founded and has grown in the past forty years. However, the way we see it, it does mean being in step with the times including purely from the point of view of brand image, with our eyes firmly fixed on technological progress, innovation and the future."

Serious Impacts - Theatre figures have condemned the "catastrophic" reduction of arts education in schools, claiming it is having serious impacts on the diversity of the theatre industry. Curve artistic director Nikolai Foster led criticisms of the shrinking emphasis on creative education, claiming that "pathways" in place several decades ago have now disappeared. "Twenty-five or 30 years ago . . . in schools there were teachers who were encouraged, because of a curriculum, to share these great plays, these great stories. There were drama clubs, dance classes. Drama GCSEs and A Levels, theatre studies - these were subjects that the teachers were able to teach freely and speak about passionately, and have value for the students," Foster said. He was speaking as part of a panel on training opportunities at a diversity conference held in Leicester, at Curve. Foster continued, "It s

Austria - With a requirement for subtle audio reinforcement to complement the spectacular venue's natural acoustic, Wolkenturm's head of sound Andreas Dröscher turned to TiMax for the panoramic realism created by its source-oriented reinforcement (SOR) spatial amplification techniques.

The architecturally futuristic Wolkenturm's open-air stage is akin to an almost startlingly modern giant sculpture, nestled in the beautiful landscaped park of Austria's 700-year old Grafenegg Castle.

The ultra-modern stage, designed by architects the next ENTERprise, blends with the romance of its surroundings and, built in a natural hollow, reaches some 15-metres to the height of the treetops. The terraced seating for an audience of 1700 and adjacent lawn areas for a further 300 already enjoy a natural, acoustically enhanced sound from the open-air arena's stylised acoustic shell, but for

Israel - Three hundred Robe moving lights helped Armin van Buuren rock Jerusalem with his Armin Only Embrace show, a four-hour trance extravaganza that delighted 10,000 fans packing the Pais Arena to catch the vibes and spectacular visuals.

The lighting for the world tour was created by LD Marc Heinz and Andre Beekmans from design practice The Art of Light, and is being directed on the road by Michael Seeverens, who's just celebrated his fifth year of working with the award-winning Dutch superstar, DJ and music producer.

The AO Embrace world tour sources production locally at each location, so the lighting spec is flexible to allow for a number of different fixtures to be utilized for the key profile, beam and wash lights. However, Michael is always happy when he sees Robe's BMFLs and Pointes on the kit list. He's used the brand for some time in his work and thinks

The US group led by singer and guitarist Tito Larriva has since gained cult status. This was also obvious at the band's celebrated concert in the sold-out Alte M

USA - One of the first projects for mobile production specialist TNDV's recently-launched Exclamation truck was also one of the company's biggest shows logistically in its 13-year history, as it provided turnkey services for General Assembly 2016 (GA16), the flagship event of Cleveland, Tennessee-headquartered Church of God.
