USA - When Valley Presbyterian Church in Paradise Valley, Arizona decided to renovate its 50-year-old sanctuary, a principal goal was to hold both traditional and contemporary worship services in this one space - but without compromising the music programme for either. At the same time, the church wanted to enhance the acoustical flexibility of the 600-seat sanctuary in order to host a range of special concerts and even classical music recording sessions
“We have a very spacious campus, with our sanctuary for traditional worship at one end and a multi-purpose space where we held contemporary services at the other end,” explains Russ Henzel, who served for 15 years as the church’s volunteer AV technician. “Because of the distance between, we had a split congregation with little interaction between the two groups during social hour. Our goal was to bring the contempora

USA - Noise Nest, a production complex owned by drummer, producer and entrepreneur Nick Gross, has undergone significant expansion over the last 12 months and now boasts five recording studios - all of which feature PMC monitoring.

Sweden - Harman Professional Solutions recently teamed up with Swedish lighting supplier LiteNordic and lighting designer Johan Moritz to revitalise Malmö’s Parking House Anna with a cutting-edge lighting design.
Built in 1978, Parking House Anna was the first public parking garage opened in the Swedish capital of Malmö. In 2019, the aged building was renovated with a new façade made of sheet metal, plant walls and solar energy panels. The renovation was ordered by the municipal company Parkering Malmö and designed by NIRAS Arkitekter.
In order to visually enhance the building’s new façade with bright and dynamic colors, Parkering Malmö hired Johan Moritz to create a fresh design using Martin Exterior Dot-HP fixtures supplied by regional distributer LiteNordic.

The Netherlands - When Intronics, the tvONE distributor for the Benelux region, received an enquiry for a major order of tvONE’s CORIOmaster mini video wall processors, they called on the manufacturer to see what was possible.
The request, from a major European integrator, was for 55 of the processors, destined for a single installation project in The Netherlands. It would be the largest ever single order of CORIOmaster mini units, and with just three weeks before the required shipping date, time was extremely tight. And there was an added problem: the order could not yet be confirmed.
“Our customer told us that although they were 99% sure of the order, they did not yet have it in writing,” explains Intronics’ technical sales engineer Ben Franken. “Also, we knew that an order of that size would ordinarily take a few months to meet.”
However, thanks t

USA - The Sterlington High School Panthers football team was runner up in Class 3A football in the state of Louisiana in 2018, and high school football plays a huge role in the rural community of Sterlington and Ouachita Parish. The Panthers play in Sterlington Stadium, which can pack in nearly 4,000 fans on a good night.
After 15 years with a sound system that never quite lived up to expectations, local music store and AV integrator Matt’s Music designed and installed a fully-weatherised Danley Sound Labs sound reinforcement system that delivers intelligibility and big SPLs from an end zone scoreboard.
“Sterlington Stadium had a pair of loudspeakers out on the scoreboard that were not working well,” said Tony Cortellini, sales engineer with the contracting division of Matt’s Music. “They had aged, but the school wasn’t able to come up with a budget to repl

Germany - As was the case for many churches around the world, COVID-19 had a significant impact on the recent Christmas celebrations at the historic Katharinenkirche in Oppenheim. The attendance capacity for some services had to be limited, while others were hosted exclusively online. The Katharinenkirche (St. Catherine’s church) is regarded as one of the most important examples of Gothic church architecture in the country. While continuing to serve the local United Protestant congregation as an active church, the imposing structure is a popular tourist attraction for visitors from across Germany and even further afield. It is also the town’s most recogn
