Live Music Recording -- Capturing Adele at the Royal Albert Hall

PLASA Focus

Toby Alington describes his live recording and subsequent post-production of Adele's high-profile concert recorded at the Royal Albert Hall at the end of 2011, and the subsequent post-production for DVD, Cinema, TV and CD. With over twenty years' experience in live music recording, including the annual BRIT Awards and MTV EMAs, Alington has recorded solo and multi-artist shows all around the world. With the challenge of a big natural acoustic of the RAH, live band and orchestra, and very important audience participation, he looks at the challenges and processes of adapting live recording techniques to artists, venues and final formats.Presented by: Toby Alington
