Yamaha Serbian seminars success

The seminars took place at the city's Dom Sindikata venue

23 October 2012

Serbia - The success of Yamaha's CL series digital mixing consoles has seen the company invited to provide a series of interactive training seminars in many European countries. The latest was at Belgrade-based Light and Sound Design (LSD).

Run by Andy Cooper, manager at Yamaha Commercial Audio's European Support Centre, the seminars took place at the city's Dom Sindikata venue on the 10-11 October and proved extremely popular. A wide range of audio engineers attended, including studio, theatre and television technicians, front of house and monitor engineers who work with Serbia's highest profile performers.

Sessions included a comprehensive overview of the CL series facilities, the flexibility of the system's Dante networking and the many advantages provided by features like Auto Gain Compensation, Premium Rack effects and seamless integration with the Nuendo Live DAW. Participants were also able to get hands-on experience with a CL5 and Rio3224-D rackmount i/o unit, provoking a universally affirmative reaction.

"This is the second time that LSD has organised a Yamaha Commercial Audio seminar and the attendance was almost double last year's. People were very interested to see and try the CL series, because the reviews from across the world have been excellent. Everyone was genuinely impressed by its sound, flexibility and features," says LSD general manager Milan Scepanovic.

"Andy Cooper was masterful in his presentation and answering the myriad of questions attendees had about CL and other Yamaha digital consoles that they regularly work with."

LSD Sales Manager Zoran Gajic agrees, saying, "It was a great pleasure for us to see that the reactions were extremely positive and that those who tried the CL5 could operate it within a matter of minutes. After the seminar we received many inquiries and we are sure that confirmed orders for all of the CL series consoles and Rio units will follow."
