Sennheiser keeps busy at V2010

UK - The V2010 festival was another highly successful summer event for Sennheiser, with the company's service support and artist relations teams decamping to Weston Park, Staffordshire, for a weekend of sun, support and supply.

With Sennheiser UK's Mark Saunders, Andy Lillywhite, Phil Cummings, Richard Minter and Rob Sales in attendance, the company offered a full on site service to artists and their engineers for the duration of the festival, as well as the festival's audio rental companies who were using a substantial amount of Sennheiser equipment.

The team was busy throughout, carrying out repairs, supplying some emergency spare parts and dispensing much needed advice on the important Channel 38/Ofcom issues, as well as using the opportunity to keep in touch with engineers and artists who regularly use Sennheiser equipment and making new contacts for the future. On site sales of Sennheiser equipment were even available, covered by Tour Supply in the adjacent 'portable cabin'.

Onstage, Kings of Leon and The Prodigy - respectively the V stage headliners and second stage headliners - were using 2000 Series in-ear monitors (KOL) and ew 300 G3 in-ear monitors (The Prodigy). The new G3 GB vocal microphone made its UK festival debut with Pixie Lott and The Divine Comedy's Neil Hannon used the new e 965 wired vocal condenser mic for his solo set.

Another performer allied to Sennheiser via their distribution deal with Rane is Tinie Tempah, whose Rane 68 mixer was on demo in the company's backstage area. Tempah and his DJ, DJ Charlesy, will be using the system as the centrepiece for their UK tour dates in October.

Over the weekend many regular Sennheiser artists performed at the event including Faithless, Editors, Calvin Harris, Chipmunk, The Sugababes, La Roux, Mika, Goldie Lookin' Chain and The Temper Trap, all of which meant that this was one of the busiest weekends of the Summer for Sennheiser's team.
