Pro Audio Systems adds engineering expertise

Neil Muir joins Pro Audio Systems' installation division
20 December 2011
UK - Continued expansion of their specialist installations division has prompted Pro Audio Systems to recruit Neil Muir to its full time staff.
Muir is well known throughout the UK production business following his stint at Yamaha Commercial Audio where he specialised in digital audio networking technologies. A graduate in electronic engineering from the University of York, his decade of experience in the production industry includes hands-on touring work as well as sales and project management.
He also manages to find time to pursue his interests as a professional musician, in which capacity his recent projects include playing trombone for indie favourites Shed Seven on their recent UK tour.
Pro Audio Systems MD Brian Lumb said: "The complexity and sophistication of the installation work we are increasingly being called upon to undertake made it vital to recruit someone with Neil's skills, not only on the networking side but also in terms of his broad knowledge of systems and applications. He's a very welcome addition to our installations and engineering team at just the right moment."
"This is really a return to my roots as I'm an engineer at heart," said Muir. "The work PAS are doing is exciting and very much at the cutting edge of networked A/V technology, so it should be a great outlet for my experience - I can't wait."
