Philips Selecon & Strand at ABTT 2012

Philips Selecon PLCyc1 LED
31 May 2012
UK - Hot on the heels of its success at PLASA Focus Leeds and ProLight and Sound, Frankfurt, the team at Philips Entertainment Lighting is gearing up for yet another high-energy trade event in the form of the annual ABTT Theatre Show in June.
Philips Selecon and Philips Strand Lighting promise to deliver "an exciting showcase of pro-lighting products". These include the recently released PLCyc1 LED, which combines LED source technology with an asymmetrical reflector, which delivers consistent light distribution without having to compromise performance with spreader lenses.
Visitors will also be able to examine the benefits of the LED Studio Panel, a variable colour temperature soft light that, by using a mixture of amber and white LEDs, offers a range from 2,700K up to 6,000K and draws just 60 watts. Powered via a PowerCon connector from the mains or a four-pin XLR the unit can be handily powered directly from a TV camera. Both fixtures were launched at the Frankfurt ProLight and Sound and both have received extremely positive feedback from the industry since.
"For Philips Selecon and Strand Lighting, the ABTT Theatre Show is an ideal opportunity to showcase the latest products to a spectrum of industry professionals from the UK and beyond," says Grant Bales-Smith, sales manager for United Kingdom, Scandinavia & Benelux. "For show visitors, it's a chance to get up close to the latest technology, meet the Philips Selecon and Strand Lighting teams and catch up on the latest company news. We saw an excellent turn out at ABTT last year and we expect to see an even better attendance this year."
The popular PL1 LED display luminaire, which delivers full control of the beam colour composition regardless of intensity, will be on the stand as will the PL3 LED variable beam wash. The PL3 offers clean, colour-balanced whites along with a full range of colours, including the more subtle tints, and has a power consumption of just 400 watts.
Philips Strand Lighting will demonstrate the Lightpack Dimmer with its advanced IGBT dimming technology, which can conveniently be positioned at the light source whenever it's required. Also on stand will be Vision.Net - touch screen technology that opens up connections to a powerful range of entertainment lighting control systems.
