PLASA 07 - find out what the industry is doing
28 August 2007
UK - With the industry's leading players rolling out major new products and services, it's a dead cert that PLASA 07 will be the place where decisions shaping the high profile projects, events and tours of the coming year will be made. Both Earls Court 1 and 2 will be packed with new ideas in audio, lighting, AV, rigging, system integration, engineering and effects - and specialists looking to identify the best solutions for their projects, or even to witness the next generation of ideas, will get a chance to see them all in one place and talk to the people who make them tick.
The best of the new technologies will be showcased in the PLASA Awards for Innovation - an awards scheme which puts design and development work at its centre. And for the first time this year, there'll be a new award focusing on the people behind the products - the Gottelier Award - intended to recognise the industry's leading innovators. Both presentations take place on Monday 10 September in EC1 at 6.00pm.
The show's striking new layout will give the show a very different feel this year, whilst also allowing for new ideas and features to be implemented. Chief amongst these is an expanded seminar programme, including some highly valuable technical workshops and a programme of events for DJs, with many sessions free.
With so much going on, expectations for PLASA 07 are higher than ever. If pre-registrations are anything to go by, it looks like most of the industry will be at Earls Court in September and somewhere on the show floor - in the form of a product, an idea, a person or a conversation will be the answer to something you're working on.
Instant registration is available on the show website where you'll also find an exhibitor list and interactive floorplan, a run-down of all the features and events and the full seminar programme.
