Japan - Italian pro audio manufacturer Outline has 16 of its H.A.R.D. 212 stage monitors, driven by T series power amplifiers and Genius 6 DSP controllers, currently in use on Eric Clapton's tour of Japan, supplied by UK rental company Concert Sound.
The Outline H.A.R.D. 212 is the lowest profile stage monitor in its class at only 33cm high and weighing in at just 26kg. The units boast uniform off-axis dispersion over the entire audio band and linear on-axis frequency response, even when the distance varies by several metres; this last characteristic ensures artists greater freedom of movement on stage or in TV studios, without jeopardizing sound quality, say Outline.
This wedge, which produces a peak SPL of 140db @1m, has a unique horn design eliminates the majority of feedback problems associated with stage monitors. The H.A.R.D. 212 has proved a popular solution to high-power, low-profile stage monitoring, and has been used by many renowned international rental companies and television studios including Cinecittà's Studio 5 home of the Uno di noi TV show, which has hosted top international artists such as Celine Dion, Carlos Santana, Robbie Williams, Simply Red, Mark Knopfler, Craig David, Tom Jones and Phil Collins.
