O'Halloran heads Northern Light's events team

UK - Northern Light has announced the arrival of Phil O'Halloran to head up the company's hire and events division.

O'Halloran - a well known industry player who has worked in technical production all over the world - comes to Northern Light from Gilded Balloon Productions where he held the post of production manager for five years.

As well as being an iconic Edinburgh Festival Fringe venue operator, Gilded Balloon Productions is responsible for a huge variety of other events and a number of national tours. Prior to his role with Gilded Balloon, O'Halloran worked in a wide range of technical management roles, including spells with the National Theatre of Scotland, Revolutions International Theatre Festival, the Grid Iron Theatre Company and Essential Show Products.

O'Halloran comments, "I've been working within the technical theatre and event industry for more than 12 years, in roles ranging from Production LX to technical director. I'm very much looking forward to focussing my skills and experience on the development and enhancement of Northern Light's already well established technical production team."

Colin Cuthbert, Northern Light's managing director adds, "The appointment of Phil to run our hire and events function is a real coup for Northern Light and affords us an excellent opportunity to review and improve the services already offered in that area of our business."
