Northern Light aims for international expansion

9 October 2012
UK - With widespread success across the UK market in TV studio installations, Northern Light has put in place plans to apply this success within the international arena.
Andy Booth, senior contracts manager with Northern Light, said, "Whilst Northern Light has extensive experience of delivering the design and installation of technical systems in theatres and concert halls worldwide, we feel the time is now right to promote our expertise in the design and project management of TV studio systems to an international audience."
Working as a specialist sub-contractor to the construction industry, Northern Light has been responsible for the design and installation of technical systems for TV studios within a multitude of venues right across the UK. Recent projects that the company has been involved in include the Theatre, Film and Television building at the University of York, Highbury College in Portsmouth and BBC Pacific Quay in Glasgow.
The first stage of the company's expansion strategy, aimed at further increasing the recent significant growth into the television market, will be to exhibit at the Broadcast India show taking place in Mumbai from 10-12 October.
Colin Cuthbert, managing director of Northern Light, commented, "Following recent research, we have identified Asia as a potential market for our expertise in the design of technical TV and theatre systems, as well as our project management and installation services. Exhibiting at Broadcast India will expand our market knowledge, forge new relationships and identify projects with the potential for Northern Light involvement."
