Fusion 672 takes to the road
8 April 2009
UK - The next generation of LED lighting effect, the new Fusion 672, will be on show around the country in the forthcoming months as it sets out on a UK Roadshow in conjunction with the hit Take That musical Never Forget.
The possibilities of Fusion are best appreciated by seeing it in action, says the company, which is why White Light, as its UK distributors, is taking it on a whirlwind tour of the UK alongside Never Forget, giving anyone interested the opportunity to see what it can do.
Never Forget's lighting designer James Whiteside is putting Fusion to spectacular use as a dramatic backdrop to the show. "We use Fusion in the show's big numbers, hung vertically and controlled as a pixelmap from our grandMA console. They are light and easy to hang in this or any configuration. More importantly, they provide a really big impact - the 'bang for buck' factor is very high. The colours are great, and the dimming is the best I've seen on any LED fixture. We are delighted with them; they look stunning in the show."
The Fusion Roadshow will follow Never Forget's tour schedule visiting the Edinburgh Playhouse (30 April), Birmingham Alexandra (21 May), Sheffield Lyceum (28 May), the Milton Keynes Theatre (4 June), Leicester DeMontfort Hall (11 June), the New Victoria Theatre in Woking (18 June) and the Hippodrome in Bristol (25 June) with further dates to be announced.
"The Roadshow will be informal, interesting and entertaining," comments Peter Threadgold, White Light's sales director. "Anyone interested in seeing Fusion in action should just come along to the venue between 2pm and 5pm on the Roadshow day, where they will see how easy Fusion 672 is to set up, configure, install or tour - and just how spectacular the lighting effects it creates can be. Of course if they want to see more, they could always consider staying on to see them in action in Never Forget."
In between Roadshow dates, Fusion will also be on show at PLASA Focus in Leeds 28-29 April. It can also be seen at White Light's base in Wimbledon, south-west London, with demonstrations elsewhere available on request.
