Frankfurt launches for Audio-Technica

Audio-Technica's 3000 Series.
21 February 2006
Germany - Audio-Technica is introducing its new 3000A Series UHF true diversity wireless systems with Automatic Frequency Scanning functionality, complete with the ATW-T371 handheld transmitter with high quality condenser capsule, being launched at Pro Light & Sound in Frankfurt (29 March - 1 April).
Also being launched at Pro Light & Sound is the ATW-A49SP Active Antenna Splitter Kit. The new re-engineered Unipoint Series of full-line, miniaturized, condenser installation and sound reinforcement microphones, featuring unique Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) shielding, is also being shown, as are the latest sub-miniature AT898 and AT899 lavalier mics, and the AT892 MicroSet headworn mic from the company's Broadcast + Production Series. The new Import Series headphones, introduced into Europe for the first time, includes three professional monitor for engineering and DJ applications.
The new 3000A UHF wireless series is a high performance, professionally specification, mid-budget wireless solution, for AV rental, sound touring, theatre sound, sound installation, and broadcast production applications. The 200 frequency agile system incorporates A-T's Automatic Frequency Scanning technology, as featured on the top of the range 4000 and 5000 wireless systems. AFS greatly enhances operation, automatically searching and setting the best available frequency in the spectrum. Up to 16 simultaneous systems per frequency band are compatible, for a total maximum of 32 simultaneous systems across two bands.
The ATW-49SP Active Antenna Splitter Kit includes two one-input, two-output splitters for use with AEW 4000 and 5000 series wireless systems, and ATW-A49LPDA antennas. One set of Active Antenna Splitters enables one set of antennas to feed receivers of different frequency bands; the splitter provides unity gain to compensate the signal loss from splitting.
The new A-T UniPoint Series comprises over 30 gooseneck mounted, boundary and hanging models, designed for the widest range of applications, in corporate, institutional, civic and religious installations, including sound reinforcement, broadcast and recording. New features include UniGuard RFI-shielding innovations for unsurpassed immunity from radio frequency interference, new interchangeable condenser elements (cardioid, hypercardioid, omnidirectional and UniLine line cardioid), superior off-axis rejection for improved gain before feedback, 80Hz UniSteep low frequency filter, and two-stage foam windscreen, say the company.
An improved, easy-to-adjust gooseneck with virtually no 'memory', permits quick positioning and resists inadvertent repositioning. Clear, high-output performance is assured by new interchangeable condenser elements available in four pickup patterns: cardioid, hypercardioid, omnidirectional and the new UniLine line cardioid with its tight 90º pickup pattern. Boundary microphones incorporate a new 'PivotPoint' rotating output connector, and the U891R, U891RW and U891RC models feature programmable switching and LED status indicator for conference and boardroom applications.
The latest UniPoint hanging microphones are designed for suspension over choirs, instrumental groups and theatre stages, and feature a low-profile design, available in black or white. New interchangeable capsules offer improved on-axis pickup.
Also showing on the A-T stand are the complete series of wired and wireless Artist Elite Series industry leading performance microphones, including the 4000 and 5000 series networkable wireless systems, and the new Po Series of live performance and general production microphones.
