ETC's Layers of Light theme pays dividends

ETC's stand at ABTT 2011
21 June 2011
UK - Lighting, control and dimming manufacturer ETC has reported "a great response" to its new and updated products at this year's ABTT show in London.
ETC's theme of Layers of Light struck a chord. Part of the stand was devoted to the new range of ETC luminaires, including the Selador Desire LED line, Source Four XT - specifically designed for external use - and Source Four Fresnel. ETC staff were on hand to demonstrate products.
ETC's new Selador Desire range allows users to experience the quality and power of ETC's x7 Color System in a PAR shaped housing. Desire is a selection of wash lights including Lustr+, Vivid, Fire, Ice and Studio variants which complement the linear Selador Classic LED range. Each is optimised for specific lighting needs.
Also new in ETC's lighting range is the Source Four Fresnel, which offers the controlled washlight and soft focus area lighting you can only get from barn-doored Fresnels. The special ETC dichroic reflector design enables Source Four Fresnel equipped with HPL 750W lamp to equal the lumens output of other manufacturers' 1000W Fresnel fixtures.
The Source Four XT, an IP65 rated zoom fixture with HID lamp for outdoor use, was also on show. Source Fours are now in a dust tight, water tight housing for all weather use.
Erik Larsen, ETC's market manager for Europe, says, "Despite the wet weather, we still had a great many people gathering on the stand. We were also showing the new Congo Kid control desk, the newest of the Congo range which is designed specifically for smaller venues. It contains all the controls of the Congo jr, plus 40 master faders to provide full control of mainly conventional luminaires plus some scrollers, LEDs and moving lights. The desk was powered with the upcoming Congo v6.2 software, which offers improved support for RDM patching and configuration.
"Congo product manager Sarah Clausen was on hand to offer demonstrations; she and the rest of the ETC staff were busy all day talking to people about all the products on offer."
