Dynacord and Electro-Voice host Big Day Out

Robert Bosch's ProSound Team UK invited their sales partners from the United Kingdom to Birmingham for its third Big Day Out
1 June 2012
UK - On 22 and 23 May, Robert Bosch's ProSound Team UK invited their sales partners from the United Kingdom to Birmingham for its third Big Day Out. The team led by Robert Hesse, vice president sales communication EMEA and managing director of EVI Audio GmbH welcomed guests from all over the UK. The event was staged in the football stadium of premier league Aston Villa, a club with one of the richest traditions in British football. Visitors included MI dealers, rental company employees, installation contractors and representatives of the media.
This was a get-together with a difference, the programme including the presentation of the new UK sales team and contact partners at EVI Audio in Straubing, Germany, numerous product and sound demos featuring the latest offerings from the brands Dynacord and Electro-Voice, and a workshop with IRIS-Net as its theme. Lectures on current installations in Great Britain and recent developments in concert sound were also on the agenda as well as an update of the ongoing improvements regarding the company's after sales service.
Among the new products demonstrated were Dynacord's Vertical Array System and the ZXA1 Sub and EVU systems from Electro-Voice, which were very well received by the attendees.
Despite the extensive programme, the emphasis of Big Day Out 2012 was upon personal contact: upon the exchange of views and information in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. "There's generally too little personal dialogue in day-to-day business," sayss Robert Hesse. "These two days gave us an opportunity to get to know our customers and partners a good deal better, and gave them an opportunity to better acquaint themselves with us, with our products and our philosophy. For us, therefore, Big Day Out 2012 was an absolute success."
One of the things that most impressed the guests, the majority of whom turned out to be football fans, was the stadium sound demonstration. Villa Park is equipped now with EVH enclosures from Electro-Voice's Innovation Series.
"This year's Big Day Out met all our expectations," reports sales director UK Sean Maxwell. "The most important thing, of course, is that we were able to introduce guests to our new sales concept and answer all their questions on the subject. Fortunately, their response to the new structure was very positive, and its impact on the course of future business developments should soon become apparent."
