Barco LED chosen for Tokyo Auto Show
28 October 2003
UK - Barco showcased over 400sq.m of its LED display products at this year's Tokyo Auto Show. Some of world's leading names in the automotive manufacturing industry, including BMW, Daimler Chrysler, Saab, Jaguar, Honda, Nissan and Volvo once again chose Barco's LED displays to add a touch of glamour to their booth on this year's Tokyo Auto Show.
Over the past three years, Barco's share of the sizeable Auto Show market has continued to increase dramatically. In 2001, Barco had over 300sq.m of its LED products at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The following year, the company showcased almost 700sq.m LED at the Detroit Auto Show. This year, Barco revolutionized the LED industry by announcing the launch of its MiPIX, a brand new LED pixel block, at IAA in Frankfurt, Germany. Rounding off the car show season on a high note, Barco is proud to announce that large volumes of its renowned in and outdoor LED display products, as well as its newly launched MiPIX product, are used at the Tokyo Auto Show.
Barco Media and Entertainment general manager, Stephan Paridaen, said: "We pride ourselves on the product and system integrity of our LED displays factors which we know are crucial to exhibitors when choosing which product to use on their booth."
The Barco LED display systems are represented at the show via some of Barco's worldwide rental partners including ICT Germany (responsible for the booths of BMW, Daimler Chrysler and Mini), Ray Corporation (Honda, Mitsubishi and Daihatsu), CT Germany and CT London (responsible for the booths of Saab, Mazda, Land Rover and Ford), International Creative (Nissan), Psy Corporation, VPS (Citroen and Peugot) and Hang Kok (responsible for the booths of Hyundai and Kia).
CT managing director, Germany, Georg Rossler said: "Our customers rely on us to provide them with state-of-the-art visualization solutions that combine quality and reliability. The Barco LED products are renowned for their reliability and recognized in our industry as the reference in quality. Add to that the fact that the picture quality is simply unsurpassed and it becomes clear why we continue to offer this product to our clients."
